  • Microsoft will rename Office 365 small and medium business (SMB) offers beginning April 21, 2020
  • On April 21, 2020, Microsoft will be changing the names of our Office 365 SMB offerings:
    • Office 365 Business Essentials will become Microsoft 365 Business Basic. This is Microsoft's entry-level offering for customers looking for basic cloud services.
    • Office 365 Business Premium will become Microsoft 365 Business Standard. This is Microsoft's core offering for SMBs, including cloud services and cloud-connected desktop apps.
    • Microsoft 365 Business will become Microsoft 365 Business Premium. This remains Microsoft's Hero SKU for high-end SMBs looking for additional security, device and identity value.

Microsoft will also adopt Microsoft 365 Apps as the new name for our two Office client subscriptions:

    • Office 365 Business will become Microsoft 365 Apps for business
    • Office 365 ProPlus will become Microsoft 365 Apps for enterprise
  • Office 365 Security Center

Vorsite would like to announce the Microsoft Office 365 public beta is now available in 38 countries and 17 languages - November 2011

Microsoft began the journey to a full public beta last fall and according to Microsoft, has since enrolled over 100,000 organizations to help test-drive the cloud service, which includes everything from email, online meetings, and website publication tools for every business regardless of size.

The beta is an exciting opportunity to be part of the future of cloud, but there are a few key system requirements to know before you roll into the cloud. It is very important that you review these requirements before signing up for the Beta and make sure you can take full advantage of all the free cloud services for a full 30-days.

Also note the Office 365 plans associated with the Beta.

    • For Enterprise customers the Office 365 public beta is using the E3 Plan, which runs about $24 per user per month after the 30-day trial.
    • For Small Business the Office 365 public beta is using the P1 Plan, which starts at $6 per user per month after the 30-day trial.
