Malware has been a growing issue for over 40 years now with 82,000 new Malwares released every single day.
According to PandaLabs, over 7 of 10 new threats were Trojans, the rest of the Malware threats are composed of 13.3 percent Worms, 8.48 percent viruses, 6.93 percent adware/spyware. Twitter, Facebook, Apple and Microsoft to name of a few, are victims to malware threats.
The breach at Adobe is single handedly one of the most heinous incidents 2013. Source codes of Adobe products were compromised, usernames/passwords of over 38 million users exposed. Social networks are also targets. In 2013, the Burger King Twitter account was hacked with their images changed to McDonald's and released tweets indicating that the fast food chain had been acquired.
In regards to the growing threat of Malware, it is vital that all organizations today take the needed precautions to avoid Cyber Attacks, Data Breach Lawsuits, Bank Fraud and Compliance Penalties.
